Shrimps and peas pulao !!!

Servings 4-5
Total Preparation time : 30 min
cooking time :20 min

250 gram cleaned shrimp
1cup green peas
1 red bell pepper
1 large onion chopped
4 small cups Sona Masoori rice
3 Maggie vegetable cubes
1 tsp pepper corns
2 sticks of cinnamon
10 cloves
3 cardamom
oil for seasoning
water for cooking


  • In pan add required amount of oil,once heated add dry spices that is cinnamon sticks,pepper corns,cloves and cardamom.
  • Than add chopped onions and saute well,than add green peas,red bell peppers and let it cook for 5 min.
  • Than add prawns and veg Maggi cubes and mix well.
  • Than add water how much required to cook rice(i always use if i use 1 cup of rice ,than same cup i use to measure 2 cups of water,you can increase the water if you finding it not correct) so you can add 8 or 10 cups of water.
  • Once water is boiling add rice and mix well in prawns.
  • No need to add salt as vegetable Maggie cubes have required amount of salt.
  • Cook for about 10 - 15 min till rice is cooked.
  • you can serve hot just plain,coz its has such a divine taste.

Chicken Makhani recipe!!

Servings 4-5
Total preparation time 50 min
Cooking time:30 min

500 kilo gram chicken cut into pieces
1/2 kg tomatoes
4 onions
10 large flakes of garlic
2 inch of ginger
4 green chilies
1 table spoon ginger garlic paste
20 cashew nuts
1 tsp peppers
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp chili powder
100 gram butter
1/2 cup fresh cream
salt for taste


  • First Marinate chicken with ginger/garlic paste,turmeric,salt and lemon,let it marinate for 25 min
  • On the other hand in one pan add water,in that add tomatoes,onions chopped roughly,cashew nuts,peppers,green chilies,chili powder ,ginger,garlic and cook for 5 min.
  • Once cooled down grind it to smooth paste and keep aside.
  • Than in pan add butter once butter is melted add chicken and cook it in butter for 10 min till chicken is golden brown
  • Once you find chicken is cooked well than add the ground paste and salt,stir the gravy well along with chicken.
  • Cook for more 5 min ,add water if required and cook for about 15min on slow flame till gravy starts boiling.
  • At last add fresh cream and mix well in chicken and again cook for 2-3 min.
  • While serving again garnish with fresh cream.Server with Naan or roti or rice.

Long beans Bhaji/Val Bhaji

Servings 3-4
Total Preparation time:30 min
Cooking time:15 min

1/2 kg long beans
3 green chilies
1 cup scrapped coconut
2 medium size onions
1 large tomato
10 curry leaves
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
salt for taste

  • First cut the long beans in small pieces,than in pan add oil,once heated add curry leaves.
  • Once curry leaves crackle,add chopped onions,saute for 1 min and than add chopped tomatoes.
  • Let the onion and tomato cook for 2 min,than add turmeric and long beans.
  • Mix and toss long beans in onion and tomato mix,than add salt and mix again and allow to cook for 5 min on slow flame.
  • Open the lid and than add scrapped coconut and mix well again,cover the lid and again allow to cook for more 6-8 min.
  • Best to be served with Roti or goan pao/pav Its just yum to have with Pao :)

Grilled Chicken with pineapple & Capscium!!!

Servings 3-4
Total Preparation time : 40 min
Cooking time :20 min

200 gram boneless chicken pieces
20 cubes of pineapple
20 cubes of capsicum
olive oil
2 tsp of chili flakes
2 tsp pepper crushed
2 table spoon tomato ketchup
3 tsp of garlic chopped
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp garam masala
salt for taste

  • For marination process first take olive oil in bowl,in that add chili flakes,pepper crushed,lemon,salt juice and garlic crushed, mix all the ingredients well and keep aside.
  • Meanwhile place the chicken,pineapple,capsicum in an bowl,add the above sauce of olive oil and tomato ketchup to the bowl and mix well to the chicken ,pineapple and capsicum,let it marinate for 20 min.
  • After 20 min marination is done take skewers or long tooth pic and arrange the chicken,pineapple & capsicum,place a grill pan or a normal pan on the stove and fry the arranged skewers till golden brown.
  • It can be one of the best starters.

Carrot Halwa/Gajar Ka Halwa !!!

Servings 4-5
Cooking time : 30 -45 min

1/2 kilo gram carrots graded
750 ml of boiled milk
5 -6 table spoon sugar
4-5 table spoon Ghee
150 gram khoya(dried milk)
5 cardamom powdered
20-30 Almonds finely chopped

  • Wash the carrots,scrap and grade and keep aside,Than in deep Pan add ghee,once heated add graded carrots and cook for about 10 min  till carrots are soft.
  • Than milk and again cook for 5-6 min,than add sugar stir well and again cook for 5 min
  • Add khoya and mix well until it is dissolved in the mixture.
  • Than add cardamom powder and again cook for about 15-20 min on slow flame till the liquid from the halwa is dried.
  • once done cooking,add chopped almonds and serve carrot halwa either chilled or hot.

Spinach and corn grilled cheese sandwich !!!

Servings 4
Preparation time : 20 min
Grilling time : 5 min

Brown Bread
1 cup boiled sweet corns
1 onion finely chopped
5 cloves of garlic chopped
1 small bunch spinach
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp pepper crushed
salt to taste
butter for cooking
cheese slices


  • First boil corn and blanch the spinach,chop the spinach and keep aside.
  • Keep pan deep pan on stove,once heated melt butter,than add chopped onions and garlic .
  • Saute both ingredients well,than add spinach and corns ,stir well.
  • Than add salt,pepper and shredded cheese and let the mixture cook for 5 min.
  • Once cooked well,allow it t cool down,
  • Take bread,spread the spinach corn mixture on bread,place half cheese slice and cover the top with another bread slice and grill the sandwich till golden brown.
  • Best for breakfast,and also best option for kids lunch box.

Spicy potatoes Recipe!!!

Servings 3-4
Preparation time:15min(for boiling potatoes)
Cooking time:5 min min

3 boiled potatoes cut into cubes
2 tsp chili flakes
1tsp mustard seeds
curry leaves
1 tsp cumin seeds
green coriander
salt as per taste

  • In kadai add oil,once oil heated add,mustard,cumin,curry leaves and allow it to crackle,than add chili flakes.
  • Than add the boiled potatoes cut into cubes,salt and toss it well keeping the flame medium.
  • Make the stove flame Sim and let it cook for 2 min.
  • garnish with lot of coriander and serve hot as side dish.Quick and easy to make.

Palak Paneer Recipe!!!

Palak Paneer is so much rich and royal dish yet very simple to make.Paneer also called as cottage cheese in English being a part of milk products is so much rich in milk proteins and its really should be part of our diet and especially kids.Palak is a green leafy vegetable and in English its called as spinach its one among the greens which have so much of nutrients.spinach is reach in iron and also have moderate amount of calcium .So why not get together these wonderful ingredients and make a healthier dish for our family.

Servings 4-5
Preparation time : 20 min
Cooking time: 20 min

2 small bunch of spinach/palak
250 gram paneer cubes(tossed in butter till light brown)
10 cloves of garlic
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 green chilies
1 large onion finely chopped
1/2 cup of fresh cream
salt for taste


  • First we need to blanch the spinach leaves,for that make sure you only take the leaves and no steam,for blanching keep water for boiling than add the spinach leaves and boil for 2-3 min.
  • Than in other bowl take ice chilled water,transfer the leaves from boiling water to cold water ,again allow it to be in cold water for 2-3 min and than transfer the leaves to mixer.(blanching allows the spinach leaves to retain its dark green colour )Along with the leaves ,add green chilies and garlic into the mixer and blend it into smooth paste.
  • Than in one kadai/pan add oil,once heated add cumin seeds and onion,allow it to saute till onion turns translucent.
  • Than add the ground spinach paste into the kadai,stir well and than add salt as required,also add water accordingly.
  • Once its start boiling add fried paneer cubes and allow it cook for 10 min on slow flame.
  • Than add cream and again cook for more 5 min,again garnish with fresh cream .
  • Serve hot with roti's or rice.

Indian-style Hyderabadi Chicken !!!

The below posted recipe is learned and tried after watching food safari -India ,show Hosted by Maeve O'Meara which gets telecast on Fox Travellers.Dish was prepared by Chef Ajoy Joshi.Its really amazing to see him cooking and the method and ingredients which he used are so simply.So tried cooking exactly how he did and the dish was just classic with lot of flavours of Hyderabad- India.

Servings 4-5
Preparation time : 30 min Marination/Cooking time : 20 min

750 gram Chicken pieces
2 cups of curd
2 table spoon ginger/garlic paste
2 table spoon of rosted sesame/groundnuts paste(added milk while grinding)
2 tsp of green chili paste
2 onions golden fried
1 table spoon cumin powder
salt as per taste
oil for frying


  • In a large bowl,add ginger/garlic paste,roasted groundnuts and sesame paste,green chili paste ,salt and curd.Mix all ingedients well with your hand.
  • Than add crispy fried onions,chicken pieces,cumin powder and again mix it well ,allow it to marinate for 30 min.
  • After 30 min of marination shift the marination to a deep pan or casserole,cover the pan with steel or aluminum lid which is little curved at centre,add a cup of water on top of the lid and allow the chicken to cook for 20 min or untile the chicken is cooked well.
  • Once you feel its done,sprinkle lemon juice in chciken gravy and mix.
  • Serve hot with roti's or rice.

Note:No water to be added in chicken while cooking because water is added on top of the lid so that the chicken cooks with its vpours.

Potato Wedges Recipe !!!

Servings 3-4
Preparation time :10 min

2 large potatoes cut into Wedges
1/4 tsp Basil dry
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp dry chili flakes
1/4 pepper crushed
olive oil/normal vegetable oil for frying


  • Wash the cut wedges of potato and dry it kitchen towel.
  • Than for wedges apply salt,basil,pepper,oregano,chili flakes and mix well.
  • Than heat the pan ,add olive oil/normal oil and shallo fry the wedges till golden brown.
  • Enjoy the hot wedges with hot tea in this Rainy season.

Paneer Potato chops recipie!!!

Potato chops one among the favourite snack served at any get together or parties in Goa.Potato chops are mainly made with minced beef as a stuffing,But since minced beef was not available i thought let me try with paneer(cottage cheese) and it really came out good.So you can try making it with any stuffing for that matter may be minced chicken/mutton or of egg as well .Potato being the main ingredients it really gives flavour to any stuffing you add :).Potato chops are very easy to make and its really yummy dish which you can add in your kids tiffin.

Servings 4-5
total time for preparation : 30 min

6 large boiled potatoes
2 green chilies chopped
250gram paneer graded
1 large onion chopped
1 tomato chopped
green coriander chopped
2 egg
Bread crumbs/rava
salt to taste
1/4 turmeric
1/2 garam masala
oil as required


  • First will start with preparing stuffing of add oil in pan,than add onion and green chilies and saute well,than add tomatoes,turmeric powder and mix again.
  • Than add the graded paneer(cottage cheese),salt and garam masala and mix it well .
  • Cover the pan with lid and allow it to cook for 8-10 min on slow flame till its totally dry.
  • Lastly add chopped coriander leaves and keep aside.
  • Now take the boiled potatoes in bowl,add little salt and mash till smooth paste.
  • Than take hand full of mashed potato mix on your palm,spread it like a small patty and fill it with the paneer stuffing and pack it well so no stuffing spills out,make small patty like rounds,deep it in beaten egg and than coat it well with bread crumbs.
  • Once done with all chops,shallow fry with vegetable oil.

Cheesy Uttapam Recipe!!!

Servings 4-5
Total time 20 min

Dosa Batter as required
1 onion chopped
1 tomatoes chopped
1 green capsicum chopped
1 green chili chopped
salt as per taste
Cheddar cheese shredded
butter or ghee for frying Uttapam

  • In bowl take dosa batter,in that add finely chopped onions,tomatoes,capsicum,salt,green chilies chopped,mix all the ingredients well.
  • Keep the dosa pan to heat,once heated pour little batter and spread in small size and cover the lid,let it cook for few min.
  • Once you feel its cooked spread butter and sprinkle the shredded cheese and again cover the lid and let it cook for few seconds so the cheese melts.
  • Remove in plate and serve hot along with green chutney or tomato sauce.

Colourfull Pasta Recipe !!!

Servings 4-5
Total time :30 min

200 gram Pasta boiled
1 large onion chopped fine
1/2 cup green bell peppers diced
1/2 cup yellow bell peppers diced
1/2 cup red bell peppers diced
1 cup diced chicken
1/2 tsp pepper crushed
1/2 tsp chili flakes
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp dry basil
1 cup processed cheddar cheese(shredded)
olive oil
salt as per taste


  • In pan add olive oil,once heated add onions,saute till translucent,than add chicken diced and toss till chicken is cooked well.
  • Than add the all three coloured bell peppers,salt,chili flakes,pepper crushed,oregano ,basil and saute all the ingredients well.
  • Add boiled pasta and toss well,than add shredded cheese and cove the lid so that the cheese melts well.
  • Once cheese is melted mix the pasta well and serve hot.Kids will just enjoy it.

Shepuchi Bhaji or Dill leaves Bhaji !!!

Servings 3-4
Total time 20 min

1 bunch of Dill leaves(shepuchi bhaji)
2 green chilies
1 small cup moong dal soaked
2 medium size onion chopped\
salt as per taste
oil for seasoning
water if required


  • Clean and chop the dill leaves very fine,than wash it and train water compleately.
  • In pan add vegetabel oil,once heated add onions chopped and green chilies,fry till onions turns transparent.
  • Than add tthe chooped dill leaves and toss well in tthe fried onions,than add little salt and soaked moong dal and mix well again .
  • Cook on medium flame for about 10 min,add water if required and cook again till bhaji is cooked.
  • Serve Hot with Chapati or Rice roti.
