Pepper Garlic Crab Stir fry


Crabs are always loved by people staying in coastal belt and it is called as Kurlo/kurle and the most common recipes prepared out of crabs in Goa are crab xec- xec,Crab masala,crab xacuti ,crab curry etc .Since my dad bought some nice fresh large crabs i thought let me prepare some quick stir fry with limited ingredients.The pepper and garlic flavors just gave the Crabs beautiful spicy taste,it was just kind of joy to relish the meaty crabs.Be ready to messy your fingers with the lip smacking sauces of pepper garlic crab stir fry .

Total Preparation Time : 40 min
Cooking time : 20 min

Ingredients
1 Kg Crabs Cleaned and Cut into two halfs
2 Onions chopped finely
1 large table spoon Garlic chopped
11/2 Tsp pepper crushed
11/2 Tsp Red chili flakes
1 Table spoon Hot and sweet chili garlic sauce
3-4 Small fresh red chilies
1 Table spoon Vinegar
Salt to taste
Oil
water

Method

  • In a large bowl add the crabs,wash them well and apply salt and keep aside .
  • Keep a deep pan or a casserole on stove,add oil and once heated add onions and saute for 1 or two min till translucent.
  • Than add garlic and again saute for few seconds.Make sure the flame is on slow.
  • Now add crushed peppers,fresh red chilies chopped,chili flakes and sweet and hot chili and garlic sauce.
  • Stir all the ingredients well,Than add little water and allow the sauces to cook for 2-3 min.Keep a watch and don't allow the ingredients to burn.
  • Than add the crabs and toss well in the sauces ,add table spoon of vinegar and toss again.
  • Now cover the pan and allow the crabs to cook on slow flame.If you feel the crabs are very dry than can add little water and again cover and allow to cook on slow flame for 10-15 min till the sauces are thick and coats the crabs well.
  • Serve Hot with steamed rice or can just enjoy the Crab stir fry all single as a starter.Be ready to mess your fingers with the lip smacking sauces of pepper garlic stir fry .
