Chicken PopCorn with oats coating

 

Chicken Popcorn is the deep fried Boneless chicken marinated with spices and egg and then coated with oats rather then corn flakes .I was very well aware of chicken popcorn fried with corn flakes but since i had lots of oats available i thought let me try chicken pop corn with oats coating.

The recipe is just yum and with lot of crunch,and chicken pieces being small and boneless easy for kids to eat.So lets begin with crunchy Chicken popcorns.
Servings 4-5
Total Preparation Time : 1 hr
Cooking time : 20 min

Ingredients

500 Gram Boneless Chicken cut into small cubes
1 Table spoon Ginger/garlic paste
1/2 Tsp Pepper crushed
1/2 Tsp Chili flakes
1/2 Tsp oregano
1/2 Tsp dry basil
1 Egg beaten
1 Table spoon All purpose flour
1/2 Table spoon Corn flour
1 Table spoon lemon juice
1 Tsp Vinegar
Salt as per taste
Oats for coating
Oil for frying
Method
  • wash Chicken cubes well and towel dry.Than add salt,pepper crushed,chili flakes,ginger/garlic paste,lemon,vinegar,beaten egg,all dry herbs and mix all the ingredients well.
  • Add all purpose flour,corn flour and mix well again.Allow it to marinate for 30 min.
  • Keep oil for heating on the other hand in Plate take required amount of plain oats ,coat each chicken piece well and arrange the coated chicken pieces well .
  • Once oil is heated deep fry the oats coated chicken until crispy and golden brown in colour.
