Palak Paneer Recipe!!!

Palak Paneer is so much rich and royal dish yet very simple to make.Paneer also called as cottage cheese in English being a part of milk products is so much rich in milk proteins and its really should be part of our diet and especially kids.Palak is a green leafy vegetable and in English its called as spinach its one among the greens which have so much of nutrients.spinach is reach in iron and also have moderate amount of calcium .So why not get together these wonderful ingredients and make a healthier dish for our family.

ingredients
2 small bunch of spinach/palak
250 gram paneer cubes(tossed in butter till light brown)
10 cloves of garlic
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 green chilies
1 large onion finely chopped
1/2 cup of fresh cream
salt for taste
oil

Method

  • First we need to blanch the spinach leaves,for that make sure you only take the leaves and no steam,for blanching keep water for boiling than add the spinach leaves and boil for 2-3 min.
  • Than in other bowl take ice chilled water,transfer the leaves from boiling water to cold water ,again allow it to be in cold water for 2-3 min and than transfer the leaves to mixer.(blanching allows the spinach leaves to retain its dark green colour )Along with the leaves ,add green chilies and garlic into the mixer and blend it into smooth paste.
  • Than in one kadai/pan add oil,once heated add cumin seeds and onion,allow it to saute till onion turns translucent.
  • Than add the ground spinach paste into the kadai,stir well and than add salt as required,also add water accordingly.
  • Once its start boiling add fried paneer cubes and allow it cook for 10 min on slow flame.
  • Than add cream and again cook for more 5 min,again garnish with fresh cream .
  • Serve hot with roti's or rice.
